Vero Biotech on working with IT Partner
Speaking: Vero Biotech, technology leader at Vero Biotech (the recording does not give his name). Recorded by the client; source file Vero Biotech - Case Study.mov.
“If not for IT Partner, I would probably be looking at one or two full-time employees to do that support, which would probably cost me a quarter million dollars a year.”“Project-wise, I got great help in moving my infrastructure to Azure. … Moving workloads and everything is not that easy, but they really did a great job.”“…unless you try them, you won't know them. But if you try them, you would be impressed.”Vero Biotech's technology leader describes two kinds of value: the project help moving the company's infrastructure to Azure, and the day-to-day break-fix support for Microsoft 365 that is included with their licensing, which he estimates saves the cost of one or two full-time hires.

To be honest, they saved us tons of money by giving us break-fix support for anything involving O365. If not for IT Partner, I would probably be looking at one or two full-time employees to do that support, which would probably cost me a quarter million dollars a year. So that is one of the biggest positives [unclear]. I do appreciate that.
I know there are different areas of value that IT Partner provided you, and many different services, but can you explain which one area you think you got the most value from?
I would break that into two departments. Project-wise, I got great help in moving my infrastructure to Azure. It is really good. Moving workloads and everything is not that easy, but they really did a great job. The other aspect, like I was saying earlier, is the break-fix support they provide for O365. It's really very valuable for companies like us, which start with less money. It is not possible for us to hire a lot of employees to support day-to-day operations. IT Partner['s support] at no cost, which I think is, to be honest, unbelievable.
I have one last question: how likely are you to recommend IT Partner, and why should someone who's listening to this act right now and work with IT Partner?
Yeah, absolutely. I keep thinking, even if I progress in my career and go to another company, the first call I would make is to IT Partner to hire them, and not just because they provide free break-fix support. I personally like their employees' skill set; very thorough. Of course, as a leader, most of the responsibility falls on me and my peers to make sure we lay out our expectations for the business. Once we lay them out and they understand, they do a great job of delivering projects. Delivering on time is also something I'm impressed with. So if anybody is listening to this, I would let them give them a try at least. Every company is different. I always believe, unless you try them, you won't know them. But if you try them, you would be impressed.
The speaker calls the day-to-day Microsoft 365 support “free”. It is included for organizations that license Microsoft 365 through IT Partner; the scope and its limits are on /verify/included-support.
