About / Founded May 2006 · Still founder-led

We’ve been doing this for 20 years. We still answer the phone.

A Microsoft partner that operates differently from the indifferent enterprise vendors most clients are used to. We pick up. We tell you when we don’t know. We bill in fixed prices and ask you to pay after — because we’d rather earn the trust than negotiate it.

01 / Our story

It started in May 2006 with two engineers and one Microsoft contract.

The first year, the company was just me and a partner debugging Exchange migrations on weekends, because that was when client servers had outage windows. We didn’t have a sales team. We had a phone and a habit of calling people back the same day. That’s still most of what we have, twenty years later — except now there are about ninety of us.

Those early years were spent at the front edge of Microsoft’s partner ecosystem — featured case studies, invitations to the Worldwide Partner Conference, Microsoft executives who knew the team by name. In 2013 I moved to the United States and IT Partner has been a US-headquartered company ever since: more than a decade in Arizona now, with regional teams across the UK, EU, Canada, and Australia that grew out of those first offices. Many of the engineers who built the company then are still building it today.

“Our oldest client signed in 2007. They’re still on the phone with us most weeks. That’s the version of the story I’d lead with — not the certifications.”

Today the work runs follow-the-sun across five regional offices — USA, UK, EU, Canada, Australia — with the US headquarters setting the standard the whole company keeps: engineers first, same-day answers, and no sales gauntlet between a client and the person who can actually help.

The last few years have been the busiest in the company’s history. We crossed 5,600 clients served. We picked up the sixth Microsoft Solutions Partner designation. Microsoft named us Area Operations Excellence Partner of the Year — the kind of recognition that surprised us, because we hadn’t been chasing awards. We’d been chasing happy clients.

02 / How we operate

The habits that never changed

Engineers first. Mike fronts every new engagement, and the people you meet on the first call are the people who do the work.
Fixed price, pay after approval. The number is in writing before work starts, and you pay when you say it's right.
Same-business-day answers. Sort Microsoft's Partner Finder by responsiveness and we're on its first page — that habit predates the ranking by fifteen years.
Monthly strategy calls with every managed client, because the relationship is the product.

04 / The team

The people you’ll actually be working with

About ninety people work at IT Partner across five regional offices. These are the ones you’re most likely to meet — the operations and customer-success folks who keep engagements on schedule, and the escalation engineers behind the response-time record we publish on /verify.
