Dynamics 365 pricing guide 2026: Sales, Customer Service, Field Service, Business Central, Commerce, Customer Insights, Contact Center and Project Operations
Dynamics 365 is not one price. It is a catalog of per-user apps, per-tenant products and capacity add-ons, with a base-and-attach rule that changes what a second app costs. This guide puts the October 2026 list prices for the apps a 20 to 500 person organization buys on one page, per user per month on an annual term, and explains the four rules (base and attach, Team Members, device licenses, minimum seats) that decide the total.
How Dynamics 365 pricing works: per user, per tenant, per capacity
Three units show up on a Dynamics 365 invoice: per named user for most apps, per tenant with a capacity allowance for Customer Insights and Customer Voice, and capacity add-ons for storage, contact center channels and e-commerce tiers.
Each SKU is listed on a one-month term, a one-year term paid up front and a one-year term billed monthly. The prices here are the one-year term paid up front, divided by twelve. The arithmetic once, for Sales Enterprise: $1,260.00 per user per year ÷ 12 = $105.00 per user per month. Month-to-month, Sales Enterprise is $126.00, a fifth more, and that premium holds across the catalog; a three-year term is three times the one-year price. All prices are Microsoft list prices, October 2026 price list, Commercial segment; Charity, Education and Government lists sit on their own plan pages.
Customer engagement apps: Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Contact Center
Sales has three per-user plans: Sales Professional $65.00, Sales Enterprise $105.00 and Sales Premium $150.00, with a $20.00 attach on Professional and Enterprise and a $160.00 Sales Enterprise device license. The plan comparison, Sales Insights and the device math are in Dynamics 365 Sales Professional vs Enterprise vs Premium, so this guide does not repeat them.
Customer Service mirrors the ladder: Customer Service Professional $50.00, Customer Service Enterprise $105.00, Customer Service Premium $195.00, with the same $20.00 attach and a $160.00 device license on Enterprise. Microsoft describes Premium as Customer Service Enterprise with the integrated contact center (Microsoft, Dynamics 365 Customer Service pricing page, October 2026), and the arithmetic agrees: $105.00 plus the $90.00 Contact Center add-on for Customer Service Enterprise users is $195.00.
Dynamics 365 Contact Center is the standalone contact center for agents who do not need the case app: $110.00 for both channels, $95.00 for Digital or Voice alone; for Customer Service Enterprise users the add-on versions are $90.00, $75.00 and $75.00. Voice telephony runs on Azure Communication Services and is priced separately (Microsoft, Dynamics 365 Contact Center pricing page, October 2026); that metered charge lands on your Azure subscription.
Dynamics 365 Field Service is $105.00, $20.00 as an attach and $160.00 per device; Resource Scheduling Optimization is $30.00 per resource per month.
Business Central: Essentials, Premium, Team Members and Device
Business Central Essentials is $80.00 per user per month, Premium $110.00, Team Members $8.00 and the External Accountant license $0.00. The Device license is $45.00 per device, or $35.00 with a 100-device minimum. Essentials Attach is $20.00 for a user who already holds a qualifying Dynamics 365 base license.
Microsoft's comparison puts one capability on the Premium side only: manufacturing. Team Members get limited access to read data, approve workflows, and create or update select information (Microsoft, Business Central pricing page, October 2026). Each company has an Experience setting: an Essentials user cannot sign in to a company set to Premium, and a Premium user can sign in to an Essentials company but cannot use Premium features there (Microsoft Learn, Create users according to licenses, July 2026). The device license is concurrent: members of the Dynamics 365 Business Central Device Users group need no user license, as many can be signed in at once as you hold device licenses, and Microsoft names point-of-sale, shop-floor and warehouse devices as the intended use (Microsoft Learn, Licensing in Business Central, August 2024).
Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Project Operations and Human Resources
Per user per month: Dynamics 365 Finance $210.00, Finance Premium $300.00, Supply Chain Management $210.00, Supply Chain Management Premium $300.00, Commerce $210.00, Project Operations $135.00 and Human Resources $135.00. A second operations app on the same user is a $30.00 attach on every one of them. Human Resources Self Service is $4.00 per user for employees who only view their own record; Operations Activity at $50.00 per user and Operations Device at $85.00 per device cover the warehouse floor.
Microsoft's documentation states a minimum purchase of 20 full-user licenses for each of Finance, Supply Chain Management, Commerce and Project Operations, met per product rather than combined; we could not open the current licensing guide to date that rule, so confirm it before you plan a 12-seat Finance deployment. Commerce adds tenant-level e-Commerce tiers from $4,000.00 per month (Tier 1 Band 1); headless commerce and the Commerce Scale Unit are quoted per project.
Customer Insights and Customer Voice: priced per tenant
Dynamics 365 Customer Insights is $1,700.00 per tenant per month on an annual term ($20,400.00 per year ÷ 12), with a $0.00 User License per person. Microsoft's page states that the base includes unlimited users, 100,000 unified people and 10,000 interacted people, and that the $1,000.00 attach price requires at least 10 users of Customer Service Professional or Enterprise, Sales Professional, Enterprise or Premium, Field Service, Finance, Supply Chain Management or Commerce (Microsoft, Dynamics 365 Customer Insights pricing page, October 2026).
Dynamics 365 Customer Voice is the survey product: $200.00 per month on an annual term, plus a $0.00 Customer Voice USL per user, plus Additional Responses at $100.00 per month per pack. Microsoft's documentation describes it as a tenant subscription with a monthly response allowance; we could not open the current page to date the allowance, so check it on the plan page.
Base, attach, Team Members and device licenses: the rules that change the total
Base and attach. The first Dynamics 365 app a user holds is the base license at full price. Each further qualifying app for the same person is an attach: $20.00 on Sales, Customer Service, Field Service and Business Central Essentials, $30.00 on the operations apps. A sales manager who also works cases pays $105.00 plus $20.00, $125.00 instead of $210.00. Which licenses qualify as a base, and which attach may sit on which base, is defined in Microsoft's Dynamics 365 Licensing Guide; the Professional and Enterprise families are not interchangeable, and Team Members is not a base. Attach is not a volume discount: a second person needs a base of their own.
Team Members. Dynamics 365 Team Members at $8.00 is for light use, enforced through designated apps: Sales Team Member, Customer Service Team Member and Project Resource Hub. In the Sales Team Member app a user can work with contacts, see accounts and the leads and opportunities linked to them, and add notes and activities; administrators can configure more, but not beyond the licensing guide (Microsoft Learn, Sales Team Member app, May 2026). Microsoft's documentation states a limit of 15 tables when customizing a Team Member app, and the license adds no Dataverse storage (Microsoft Learn, Dataverse capacity-based storage details, September 2026).
Device licenses. Sales Enterprise, Customer Service Enterprise and Field Service sell a device license at $160.00, Business Central at $45.00, the operations apps at $85.00. A device license covers a shared machine, not a named person: two people on a service desk PC cost $160.00 against $210.00 for two Enterprise users; one person on a device license pays $55.00 more.
Minimum seats. Customer Insights Attach needs 10 qualifying users, the operations apps carry the 20-license minimum above, and the $35.00 Business Central Device variant needs 100 devices.
A worked example, and what to do before you order
A 40-person distributor: eight sellers on Sales Enterprise ($840.00), four agents on Customer Service Enterprise ($420.00), two managers who need both ($105.00 plus the $20.00 attach, $250.00), six finance staff on Business Central Essentials ($480.00) and twelve people who only read accounts and add notes on Team Members ($96.00). That is $2,086.00 per month, $25,032.00 per year, at Microsoft list price, October 2026 price list; month-to-month it would be $2,503.20 per month.
Before you order, settle who edits and who only reads (a Team Member who edits opportunities needs a full license), who holds two roles (the attach rule), and whether the tenant is Commercial, Charity, Education or Government. That is the scope of the fixed-price Dynamics 365 licensing review we offer: a seat-by-seat map, the SKU list and a written quote. After the licenses: Dynamics 365 Sales Initial Setup ($875, five hours), Dynamics 365 Administrator on Demand ($25 per seat plus a $175 tenant fee per 30 days), Salesforce to Dynamics 365 Sales Migration (quoted from discovery) and Business Central Integration Development ($175 per hour).
Frequently asked questions
Is Copilot included?
Microsoft's pages state that Sales Enterprise includes Copilot in Dynamics 365 and Sales Premium includes 1,000 Copilot Credits per user per month; agents need Copilot Credits bought separately, pay-as-you-go on an Azure subscription or pre-purchased (Microsoft, Dynamics 365 Sales pricing page, October 2026). Pay-as-you-go consumption is your Azure charge.
Can Team Members use the Sales Hub?
Not under license enforcement. A person who needs Sales Hub needs a Sales Professional, Enterprise or Premium license.
Can we mix Business Central Essentials and Premium?
Not within one company: an Essentials user cannot sign in to a company set to the Premium experience.
