Security Warnings and Macro Enablement in Microsoft Excel

Microsoft Excel may block macros in downloaded files, especially if those files are downloaded from the internet. If you encounter a Security Risk warning while opening a file, please follow these steps to enable macros safely:

  1. Unblock the File (Windows only)

Before opening the Global Report file:

    • Right-click the downloaded file and select Properties,
    • In the General tab, flag the Unblock checkbox (under Security block),
    • Click Apply, then OK.

The file is now ready to use!

    • Select Add New Location...
      • click Browse to locate the folder where you saved the Global Report file,
      • flag Subfolders of this location are also trusted checkbox (recommended),
    • Click OK twice to save, then restart Excel to apply the settings.
