Devices monitoring is a 1 month service for setting up monitoring of end devices and network active devices, including computers with Windows or Mac operating systems, servers, printers, network switches, firewalls, and other equipment. IT Partner prepares and helps distribute the monitoring agent package, configures checks based on client requirements, and provides regular reporting. In addition to this service, at least five hours of on-demand engineer time are required each month to respond to emerging issues. 24/7 support, continuous monitoring, and ongoing maintenance are not included by default, but are available as optional extra-cost add-ons delivered through IT Partner's NOC, third-party support partnerships, and Microsoft support escalation channels.
What this engagement is
This service sets up monitoring for device operation parameters across endpoints, servers, and network devices. Monitoring is based on an agent installed on the device that periodically polls the target device against specified characteristics. Checks can include performance metrics such as CPU or disk throughput, available RAM, and network interface utilization; Windows services status; HDD health; and other checks. It is also possible to develop a custom script and check the script execution result. Network active devices such as network switches, firewalls, and printers can also be added so unusual or high network activity, printer issues, and scanner issues can be noticed before they affect users. Monitoring uses a pre-defined framework for checks, for example CPU is not higher than 50%, or printer status should be "ok". 24/7 support, continuous monitoring, and ongoing maintenance are not included by default; response activities such as ongoing alert monitoring, generating support requests for events, investigating situations, and contacting the client when needed are available as optional extra-cost add-ons delivered through IT Partner's NOC, third-party support partnerships, and Microsoft support escalation channels. In addition to this service, at least five hours of on-demand engineer time are required each month to respond to emerging issues.
