This service analyzes your current Azure usage to identify areas for improvement, optimize spending patterns, and reduce unnecessary costs. IT Partner reviews your Azure tenant resources and analyzes them for efficiency using the signals Azure itself provides — cost and usage data, Azure Advisor recommendations, and Azure Monitor utilization metrics — then delivers a report with findings and cost optimization recommendations. Typical levers include right-sizing over-provisioned resources, removing orphaned or idle resources, and evaluating commitment options such as reservations and savings plans where usage patterns justify them. The assessment identifies baseline usage across the environment, quick wins, and in-depth optimization plans. It is read-only by design: recommendations are delivered for your decision, and no reconfiguration is performed within this scope.

Confirm the assessment scope, the required Azure subscription, stakeholders, communications approach, expected schedule, and the client point of contact. Review the objective of identifying cost and performance optimization opportunities without making production changes as part of the standard assessment.
Review the client's Azure usage context, business priorities, known concerns, budget or cost-center considerations, tagging or reporting requirements, and any constraints that should be considered when evaluating recommendations.
Configure temporary Azure Portal access for IT Partner as agreed, ensuring sufficient access to review the required Azure subscription. Confirm access works before starting the inventory.
Collect an inventory of relevant Azure resources and review current consumption, usage patterns, cost drivers, underutilized resources, sizing indicators, and readily available Azure optimization signals such as Azure Advisor recommendations and Azure Monitor metrics. The review is limited to information available through the provided subscription access and standard Azure management tools.
Prepare the findings report with baseline usage observations, identified quick wins, recommended cost optimization actions, performance or efficiency considerations, and practical next steps. Where the available data supports it, recommendations may be prioritized by potential impact, urgency, or implementation effort.
Walk through the report with the client, explain the rationale for recommendations, answer questions, confirm any assumptions, and identify which actions the client may want to evaluate or implement separately after the assessment.
Conduct final follow-up to address open questions, confirm acceptance of the assessment deliverables, document any outstanding items, and complete the project closeout process. Temporary access should be removed or disabled by the client after the engagement is complete.

No. No savings amount or percentage is promised, because actual savings depend on your environment and on which recommendations you choose to implement. The success criterion is a concrete, actionable list of recommendations on how to reduce Azure costs.
Does this service make changes to our Azure environment?
No. Azure services reconfiguration is not included — the assessment is read-only. IT Partner delivers findings and recommendations; you decide what to implement, either with your own team or as separately scoped work.
What access is required for IT Partner to perform the assessment?
You need admin-level access to the required Azure subscription and provide IT Partner temporary access to it. The engagement includes a step to configure that access, and the closeout guidance is to remove or disable the temporary access once the assessment is complete.
What happens during the assessment process?
A kickoff meeting confirms scope and objectives, a pre-assessment meeting captures your usage context and constraints, access is configured, IT Partner inventories resources and analyzes consumption and optimization signals, the findings report is prepared and walked through with you, and closure conversations confirm acceptance and outstanding items.
Will this assessment cause downtime or business disruption?
No. The scope is an assessment that reviews resources and analyzes efficiency — not a reconfiguration project — so no downtime results from the assessment itself. Any later changes you choose to make should be planned separately.
Can the assessment identify quick wins as well as longer-term opportunities?
Yes. The report identifies baseline usage, quick wins that can be actioned immediately, and in-depth optimization plans that take longer to evaluate or implement, prioritized by potential impact and effort where the data supports it.
What deliverables will we receive?
A findings report with Azure cost optimization recommendations, and a project closeout report showing final project status, evidence of matching the acceptance criteria, any outstanding issues, and the final budget. More extensive documentation can be provided for an additional fee.
Who implements the recommendations after the assessment?
That is your choice. The client may perform changes to the Azure tenant as required, or implementation can be scoped separately with IT Partner, since reconfiguration is outside this assessment.
