Description

Get assistance with licenses or tools that can solve your IT-related problems. A tool for selecting and assigning licenses that optimally meet user needs.

Developed by IT Partner, the License Assistant service is an innovative solution aimed at assisting users in selecting the most suitable Microsoft product for their needs. The service benefits users within a customer’s tenant, providing a tailored approach to license management.

How It Works:

  • Initiation: A tenant user (the initiator) submits a request in their own words to an IT Partner engineer.
  • Offer Formation: The IT Partner engineer evaluates the request and selects a Microsoft product (e.g. license) that best fulfills the user’s stated needs. An offer for the license assignment is created and sent to the decision-maker within the customer’s tenant (Global Admin by default).
  • Decision: The decision-maker reviews the offer and has the option to accept or reject it. They can also redirect the offer to another company employee if necessary.
  • Assignment: If the offer is accepted, the IT Partner engineer assigns the appropriate license to the request initiator.

Notifications: Throughout the process, the system sends notifications to all participants, keeping them informed of each action taken.

This service ensures that license selection is efficient, user-centric, and aligned with the specific requirements of the customer’s organization.

To track the requests, offers and decisions, users can use the History Feed feature. To navigate to the History Feed page, hit the action menu (three dots button) on 'License Assistant' card and select 'History Feed' option.
